    6mm Norma br

I see that lots of people have rebarreled Savages to 6.5x47 Lapua, but has anyone done so with the 6mm Norma br?
If so, did you have any specific concerns while doing so?
    How'd it shoot?

I've done one, seems to avg. right around .5 moa at 600 yards. I'm with bean, shoots better than I can.

    Re: 6mm Norma br

I just did one with a 28" 1-8 twist CBI Barrel, still trying to find time to get out and shoot it.

Edit: got out and shot it early last week and on shots 21-25 of the break in, I shot a .331 5-shot group at 100yds with Varget and 58gr V-Max in a Laupa Case and CCI Primer. I am really starting to love this little cartridge.

I've built both calibers. The reason I went 6.5 Lapua was it's ability to make 1k w/o full throttling the loads like the 6mmBr. The BR is a fantastic 300 and 600 yard cartridge.

The BR is a great cartridge, the only possible problem is because of it short statue you may have to modify the ejector to make it work.

+1 on that. I use mine as a single shot and the empty falls off the extractor when I open the bolt. Not a big broblem for a benchrest rifle but annoying if used for other purposes.

Have a couple of 6.5Br ( one rifle and one pistol) and great shooters +1 on cartridge falling off extractor, but I like since all I do is bench shooting. Don't have to worry bout expensive cases rolling on the cement. Also have a 6.5X47 rifle and does same thing
