The only mags I have found are right from the facory, and they are always listed as out of stock. I would like an extra mag also, if you find anything please post it.

    Re: metal mags ?

I have both a .223, and a .270 Edge, and I am unhappy with the factory mags on both. My .223 has dumped its mag, and my .270 does not feed if I don't put in the mag JUST RIGHT. Very frustrating and might be catastrophic if I missed a shot at a caribou. I sure hope someone comes out with an after market mag for each of the Edges, as the current ones are PsOC!

The Edge magazine boxes are metal. Only the bottom cap is plastic, and it must be this way to latch in the stock. The metal magazine box is the same box used on the standard Savage and Stevens rifles.

Look steel to me, and DBM
You have to insert the rear end first, then clip the front.
Work flawlessly for me, I like it.
