    savage 99

I have a chance to buy a Savage 99 chambered in 300 savage. Serial number 606xxx. Bluing and wood are great, insides need some cleaning but should clean up fine. Best I can figure it was made in 1952. I shot it today and it was a blast. What is something like this worth?

    Thanks

does it have a schnabel fore end, or rounded with double checkered lines where a barrel band might go? FW barrel with a bulge at the sight base? sling swivels, or scope blocks? $350 to $650 generally speaking, but details (photo) and condition tell the real story.

It is an EG model, you can look on GB for current comparative prices.

If the bluing and wood are great it'd be a $500+ gun.

The EG in 300 is the most common model and round in all of the Savage variations. Kinda like the Win 94 in 30-30.
    Savage- "never say never".
