replacement barrel

Hello all, can anyone point me in the direction of a good replacement barrel for my rifle. I have a savage 110e chambered in .308. I am looking for a bit heavier barrel than the stock one, probably a varmint contour. Also i assume the action length does not make a difference, right? Thanks for info ahead of time. Ryan
