    reading the wind


    i shoot at butner ,nc ..now in my 2nd year at 1000 yds have read wind at 800yd flag & at 200 yd flag, but can not get passed a 189 points..is it just time or am i reading the range wrong.. if anyone remembers i built a 243 for my sister & on a windy day at butner & her first 1000 yd shoot she got a 167.0..thanks to everyone that helped

    I shoot at Butner too, I have been told that if you can shoot decent there, you will shoot great everywhere else as when the wind is coming from left to right, it does some funky stuff depending on what station (number or position) you are shooting from . It rolls, changes direction alot, etc. You shoot F class w/ NorthState shooters?
