    223 BOLT QUESTION

Was the 223 ever built on the long action?
If so, would that 223 bolt work in a normal long action, without modification?

What I am trying to do is convert my long action to 223 with a complete new bolt. I do not want to change the bolt head on my bolt.

If I can do this, where do I start looking for a complete bolt?

    Bill

It can be done but I believe SSS is the only one that makes the .223 bolt head that will work on a long action...

bolt heads are different and the bolt head for a 110 .223 has not been made in many years. you need the SSS kit.
