I know that Savage made rifle cartridges in the red and yellow boxes with the Indian head on them. Did they make shotgun shells? What kind of color scheme was on the box? Can someone tell me where I can find a picture of one if they existed? I will really appreciate any information you can help with. Thanks.

I have found a book that is supposed to list all Savage ammunition made during the 68 years the factory loaded ammo. Hopefully it will have lots of info.
The catalog has arrived. "Savage Ammunition, Cartridges & Boxes From 1895 to 1963". It has 89 pages (many in color) of information on the rifle and pistol ammo. Published by Pete Zimmerman, a good person to deal with. His website is: www.rstmanuals.com his email is: pete@rstmanuals.com
