    New Rifle Noob

I got a new rifle and shot it about 50 times. I was reading through the forum and realized I should be using a bore guide to clean my barrel and to throw away the Hoppes 9 :) I'm going to pick up some Shooters Choice and a bore guide.

Are the Dewey Bore Guides or Tipton Rapid Bore Guide kit anygood? Could I have damaged my stainless barrel with a 3 piece brass cleaning rod without a bore guide?

As far as bore guides I prefer the ones from Sinclair, they have an integral solvent port.

I doubt you did any damage in that short of time, unless you were running the rod back and fourth like you were sawing wood.

Pick up a one piece coated rod (Dewey or similar) while you're at it.
