If it's an illuminated scope, it's probably the battery cover.

Does anyone know what the little rubber button thingy that is at a 45 degree angle into the turret housing
on a Swift Premier Scope 8x32x50?
I bought the Scope recently and I find no reference to it in the manual or online.
I would insert a picture if I knew how...

Nope, it's not an illuminated model.
It's about the size of a pencil eraser width and about 3/8 in. long. Wish I could post a picture!
I know ot's not the same brand, but Burris scopes (certain models) had a "lock" that you would loosen til you got your crosshairs adjusted, then unscrew the cap, and there was a small screw(looked like a miniature turret) that you tightened, and it locked the crosshairs from moving....maybe smae thing?.......rsbhunter
If you stand for nothing, Then you'll fall for anything!
Hmmmm..... a distinct possibility!
I am going to call Swift on Monday and ask them.
I took a chance on ordering this one, never having heard of Swift before.....
As far as the scope goes, all is can say is WOW for 249.00.
The optics are as nice or nicer than any Luepy I've looked through.
Even on the edges at 32X....I am impressed.
I think that Swift scopes may be one of the best kept secrets out there!
That's one of the new models with the coil spring in it. I have several Swifts and they are great for the money! Where did you buy it from?
