Using same powder for Barrett 50 BMG and the Savage 110 BA 338 Lapua

Hi Folks

I have been shooting a Barrett 50 BMG for several years and have a Savage 110 BA in 338 Lapua on order.

My 50 BMG reloading equipment should work with the RCBS 338 reloading set.

Does anyone on the forum load/shoot both 50 and 338? I am interested in using a common powder. The only one I found so far is Hodgdon US 869.

I am also thinking about using the a single Barrett BORS systems with a quick remount system between both rifles. Anyone done this?

I believe Wideners has 8# WC867 and/or WC872 right now for $49, you start out with AA8700 loading data; AA8700 loading data is available for both 50BMG and 338Lapua. I do not know the burn rates for these powders, there must be a difference.

I have not used this powder.
