I have the 10PC and the barrel lock nut is smooth. I am wondering which wrench it takes and or should I get a new nut when I get a new wrench?
I would like to buy just one wrench and the ones that I am seeing have protrusions that look to fit in a notched style nut.
Thanks for any help.
Mark

Save your money and use a pipe wrench. Then replace the smooth one with a grooved nut.
Thanks a bunch. After 35 or so views on my question with no replys, I was beginning to think that I had ther only smooth nut model 10 around.
I'd buy the right wrench. I think you'll see more of these nuts in the future.
This is probably what I would do.Originally Posted by snowgetter1

Sharp Shooter Supply wrench for smooth nuts is a nice tool. The smooth nuts are easier to bed in epoxy than the slotted nuts. Recommend the SSS recoil lugs as well, they are slightly larger than OEM so not going to fit an acu stock without mods but for those who can bed their own actions the SSS part is way better than stock. SSS lug also has tapered sides.
It was easy to remove a factory installed nut with the SSS smooth nut tool and a barrel vise.
Parts shipped very quickly from SSS. Lisa is very prompt at replies to querries.
