Savage claims that any of their current triggers that are not an Accutrigger are not adjustable in any way. You would probably better off with an aftermarket trigger such as a SSS or Rifle Basix.

For a cheaper alternative for about 1/3 the price of SSS and Rigle basix, call Jim Briggs at NorthlandeShooterSupply, he advertises here, and ask about a Savage 3 screw trigger that is adjustable. Adjustment isntructions are available here or Jim can send you a sheet. They can be adjusted to about 3 lb pull and less if you replace the straight wire spring with a pc. of .040 spring wire obtainalbe from most hobby stores that deal in RC model airplanes. Or piano wire from a piano dealer.
