Shot my new build today and discovered that it does not eject spent cases. It pulls the empty out of the chamber just fine but does not kick it out of the port. It just sits there on the bolt face and waits for me to reach in and pluck it out which is a pain as big as my fingers are. Is it possible this action had the ejector disabled for some reason, or is there something wrong/broken that needs to be repaired before I shoot it again? Everything else seemed to be fine, I was even able to feed .308's out of the LA magazine with no problems.

Definately missing the ejector. You might have gotten lucky and still have the spring stuck in there by the retaining pin. There is a pin that normally holds the ejector in place on the side of the bolt head. If it is still there then maybe you just broke the ejector head off, if not then you will need to order the spring, ejector and ejector retaining pin.

Probably less than $20 for everything shipped. When you install them make sure the rounded part of the ejector is facing out.

Yep - if you bought that as a "complete" action or bolt the seller owes you an ejector assembly (ejector, spring, pin).
This is how it came to me so I know it didnt break. Oh well.
Lots of folks remove them so they won't fling brass out of the receiver.
Anyway, to make the job easier, get a set of small steel pinpunches. Most hardware stores and Lowes, Home Depot has them. It will make getting the pins out a lot easier.

I am looking at the face of that bolt and it seems to have the taperd annular ring used on very early Savages. BillPa, werent those annular rings set into a corresponding chamfer on the face of a barrel breech end?

Maybe its just the pictures and what I'm seeing, but it appears to be well abused bolt head, some primer etching and appears to have circular marks from possibly making contact with the barrel tenon. That thing is in rough shape. If it were one of mine it would be get a face lift or replaced.
You will need a 1/16" punch to push the ejector pin out. No need to buy a set.
