19nra mags

I have what I have been told is an early model 19 nra the mag says savage sporter.I have found some after market mags at gunclip depot they list one for a 23a sporter the other for a1903,1906 ,1909 they both look similar I was told the 19 nra and 23a sporter take the same mag .but some of the aftermarket dealers list them seperatly. can anyone tell me which mag I need for this gun some are 7 round some are 8 round

This one is for the later model 19.(1933 version) I have two after market mags that will also work in this rifle. They are about a quarter of an inch shorter and hard to get out of the mag well.


This one is for the earlier mod 19.(1919 version)

I have never heard of a 7 or 8 round version of either mag, just 5 round.

I need the earlier magazine for a M1919 target rifle that was made in the very first year of production, would you sell or trade mags for a later model magazine? I'm trying to keep the rifle 100% original. The one I have is a 5 shot in excellent condition, just a little blue missing on the bottom, works perfectly. It the rifle posted about getting lucky on the M19, take a look at the rifle, it's at least 96%. I really want to keep it period correct in every aspect. The mag I have looks like the one posted with the button, just does not have the right verbage on it.
