What is a M110 Left Hand worth?

I have a buddy that has an older model 110 action that was a LH and originally chambered in .308 Win with a Varmint barrel. He has pulled and sold the barrel so all he has is the action and the stock. He said for me to make him an offer on it and I want to offer a fair price without being insulting. It is for a nephew of mine that is a lefty and I'd like to help him out with finding him a rifle that will be easier for him to operate.

My local gunshop has an older LH model 110 30-06 with a junk scope on it. Asking $250.00 and have indicated that they would take less. Use that as a guide to what an action would be worth.

Action, bolt, trigger, stock, trigger guard, etc... included, I would go $200-225 depending on the condition.

He said it was a M110 short action, but I don't know for sure as he told me about it over the phone, but I have no reason to doubt him. I do know it was originally a .308 Win, with a varmint contour barrel. I do know it is pre accutrigger, and it is a repeater.

    Thanks

So it is going to be what everyone like to call a "J" action. limited stock selection if your thinking future changes. May have bottom metal with the trigger guard.

    .

Back in the days of yore when dinosaurs roamed the earth...

All Savage bolt actions were Model 110.

Regardless of stock style, finish, length, bolt face, etc.

Boyds has stocks for older 110's that are stagger feed with the 4.52 bolt spacing. Walnut or laminate. Under $100. Drop in stocks.

Yeah, and now we need an Enigma Machine to decipher Savage's alphabet soup nomenclature. To make matters worse, Savage can't even be consistent with what the letters stand for from year to year.

    ain't that the truth
Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience
