    223 to 7mm wsm?

Is it possible and if so what is needed?
I have an acccu trigger short action blind mag model 10 that I'm kicking around possibly converting to a 7mm wsm that I would like to feed reliably 180 gr smks. Or would I be better off finding a donor long action with more mag room?

My opinion would be the long action. I'm building the same thing on a long action for the option to load as long as the barrel likes em.... but that's just my opinion.. ;D

The barrel will also have to be a large shank if it is a Savage barrel. Personally I would look real hard at the Winchester 284 before making a final decision. It will fit in your short action and all you will have to switch it out is the bolt head and magazine. http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek088.html

It is impressive. The guy is a real class act to share all his reloading techniques.

you can build a wsm on a small shank plenty of guys have the wsm, the rum and the 338 edge on small shanks if you want the wsm go for it

I am building mine on a small shank! I just lucked into a benchmark barrel.... Devin @ sin-arms had priced me a couple of options in a custom barrel in small shank that were very reasonable

One other little suggestion.... pay the $12 and become a paid member so you can get to the classifieds!! That's where I found my barrel.... but you will have to be fast cuz apparently there are a lot of people looking for a 7mm wsm
