I see a lot of them for sale here in Alaska. Usually between $500 & $750. They sell at $550 or less and the higher ones just keep wanting.

If you are ok w/single shot pick up a T/C Encore with a 375 H&H. Then after a few rounds when the pain sets in and your pocketbook hurts swap out a 223 barrel and enjoy shooting cheap ammo the rest of the day!

Assuming you are talking about just savage 375s

I wanted a 375 H&H for nostalgic reasons and recently built a 458 win out of a 110 salvage. I decided I would build the 375 also. I didn't bother trying to find a 375 or ultramag action, I just bought a stevens 200 from MC Sports for 239$ and started with that. I bought a 375 ss barrel from Numrich's for 100$, opened up the feed port in the action on the mill, lengthened the magazine box and away I went. I couldn't find an ultra-mag magazine box, but I did find a follower ( if it ever comes in). It works ok with just the standard magnum follower I have in it now even though it's too short for the magazine. I had a walnut stock with an opened up barrel channel left over from the 458 project so I used that. I sold the stevens stock and figure I can get 50$ or so out of the barrel I took off. So I'll have about 300$ into my 375.
Opening up the feed port is quite simple, it took me about 10 minutes on the bridgeport. If you know someone who has some machining expirience and access to a mill I doubt they would charge much to do it. :)
