    stevens 325c....what to do...

    I've got a 80% or better 325c in 30-30 that I picked up at a gun show (along with a matching savage 340) about
    10 years ago. I sold the 340 and obtained the proper scope mount...should I have the receiver drilled for the mount to make
    it a 340 or just leave it alone?

    It has the light (blonde) wood stock that with a little work should be rather nice....it's not in bad shape now..just not "pretty".

    Bolt cycles smoothly and trigger is par for the course of that era. The butter knife bolt handle is nice...

    The stock mainly reminds me of the thick not pretty sks wood....but a little shaping and sanding should make it more pleasing to handle.

    Thoughts ? Ideas ? ??? javascript:void(0);

    drilling it wont make it a 340! most anything you do to it will not increase the value.
    do you shoot it much?

    I have one just like it. It had a reciever sight on it when I bought it and it shoots just fine that way. I wouldn't scope it.

    Please, leave it alone. Those funky old rifles are beginning to draw some interest (I like them, and always have at least one untouched 325/340/840 etc on hand). But then again, it's your rifle...
