    Stevens 414 rimfire 22lr

After a year of hounding, a friend is offering me a nice all original Stevens 414 22Lr. It's in great shape(about 85-90%) if my memory is still working. I have no idea what to offer him $$$. He's a good friend/range bud so I don't want to rip him off either. Anybody have a idea on what the market will bring if one was for sale?? I'll get a good look at it this weekend and hopefully bring it home.

Maybe model 416? Which is a nice sporter/target class 22. They're not commanding a great deal of money; $250 would be a good deal, $300 would be fair, $350 in really nice shape, $400 I'd pass.
They are some that have "x" marked barrels, which were supposed to be their select target barrels.

That price seems a little high to me especially with a rough bore. For all we know, it's been for sale for the last 4 years.I guess the 414 is a little more rare than I thought.

They don't make them like that any more. Thats one of my favorite rifles. In all original -non hacked up condition they are pretty pricey. Not sure I'd go over $800 for a 90% rifle. Most shooter grades I've seen sell between $450-700. Most sellers want alot more for them. Great rifle. very accurate. In 90% I wouldn't go over $750 to $800. dcl

Wow, Armoury's don't just fall out of the sky, I'd jump on one in a second if I had the chance.

Anything under $500 and you scored nice! I wouldn't go over $700 on a rimfire though.
