    cutting down edge stock

has anyone tried to cut down an edge synthetic stock. since you cant buy new stocks for this model I would like to make it shorter but I'm not sure how it would work out and was wondering if any one else has attempted this

    Welcome to the site.

I doubt the Edge/Axis stock can be cut down, the stock is hollow inside and there is nothing to mount a recoil pad to. the factory stock has a pad that is fitted with the sling swivel, and a tab at top. The stock gets smaller as it moves down, and the factory pad will be bigger than the stock, there is not enough material to mount another pad to, you may be able to glue something on it.

Maybe cut it down to where you need it, then epoxy a piece of wood cut to fit inside the stock cavity, then screw a new recoil pad into the wood?

    Just an idea
