I have a 10fp 308 that once sited in one inch high at 100 yards and I shoot 200 yards the holes are 4 inches to the right of the target and when I shot at 350 today on a nice calm day they hit about 7 inches to the right. I have two piece adjustable for windage Leopold bases and Burris signature rings with inserts. Could the windage on my rear base be be too far to one side and as the target grows further away it makes it worse? I have a Bushnell elite that tracks true and always resets perfect when dialing different ranges but damned if I can figure out the windage problem. The scope windage is centered so I figured that meant I had the rear base adjusted right. I wonder if maybe my crosshairs might not be perfectly straight up and down but I don't agjust the scope from 100 to a 200 hundred yard shot and I notice it starting to drift to the right between those distances.

Vertical is right on at 200 hundred
I put about 4 moa at 350 and I'm right on there but way to the right.
Sorry, I meant what does the group look like vertically (how tall is it) is it spreading out evenly as the distance increases or is it just moving horizontally? What is the load?
They are just the cheap 150 grain power shoks. With them I get a touch under 1 inch groups from 100 and it is around double that from 200 but to the right of the target
Are your crosshairs on your scope pretty dam near vertical??
had same problem with precision carbine 308. bought me an anti cant level,problem solved
If your cross hairs aren't canted, dial in the correct windage adjustment at the longer range. Slight differences in windage will not show up at 100 yards but are magnified at the longer ranges.

After breakfast I will go out and set a target at 300 and adjust windage dead on for that range and then shoot at one at 100 and see if it is shooting to the left. What is the best way to insure I mounted the scope vertically without having to invest in a scope level?
First you have to be sure your rifle is dead level and can't move. Then sight your cross hairs on a fixed object you know is true vertical and adjust accordingly. Of course, doing this will require you to resight the scope at distance again.
