Ive got a 16 action that come in an accustock and doing a barrel swap, if Im reading right guys are using Remington recoil lugs since the old style savage is too big? if not is SSS making a replacement for the accustock? thanks, Mike

Rem rifle, Sako and Savage are very similar. it's possible some one found something or was able to make a slight mod to fit one.

I've made a few for thre accustock, but it requires ditching the wedge as it is thicker. I do have a few in stock.

Do your recoil lugs have the timing pin used to square them up with the action or are they smooth like the one that comes with the accustock. How much for one of your lugs? Im curious how does the factory align the lugs to the action without a timing mark or pin on the lug? thanks, MikeOriginally Posted by sharpshooter
Mine has the key to align in the slot in the receiver. The factory uses a fixture to hold the lug in place while they tighten it.

Thanks for the replies sharpshooter. I got brave today, took my time and ground the after-market lug to fit, polished it up and the lug looks pretty good. Thanks again, Mike
