    hornady/varget

Usually use 69 grain Sierras in my 0.223 1:7 twist, but picked up some 75 grain Hornady BT A-MAX. Any helpful load data using Varget powder?

Go to the Hodgdon website. It is a good place to start. http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp Tim

hopefully you don't have to load to mag length, as your max'd at about 24.5gr. and the dont load very well at mag length as they are seated to deep to crimp.

i have loaded upto 25.5 which is compressed pretty hard, so i'd say thats your max unless you are seating way out. they grouped better at 24.5 but i needed to get to 600yds so i pushed them hard and gave up a little accuracy in the process. its been a while so i can't remember all the particulars.

i switched back to the 69 grainer's i got just as good of accuracy and could get them in the mag.
God still loves you,   yep even on them days....
