    Ahhhh... the joy of success

I helped a friend put together a 308W on a 12BTCSS. He got a Shilen varmint profile barrel and recoil lug from Jim @ Northland. Fired the barrel break loads today and did a little method develop for IMR4895 and 175 Berger Hunting VLDs. His last group was less than 0.3" at a 100 yds. He is a happy camper. He is know a firm Savage believer.

I told him that last group cost him at a $1,000. I don't think he understood, but he will. He is hooked..... ;D ;D ;D Tiny

hmmmmm, yeah I would say more than $1,000 - started the year off with no rifles, March a Mod 11 - just for plinkin, then a Lee Challenger to reload with, primers, brass, powder and bullents, thensuddenly a Mod 12, couple of new scopes more powder, better brass and bullets -- let's see 3lbs of Varget and 600 69gr SMK's later - oh my!!

Sure has been fun, oh yeah there's a 20 Tactical barrel on it's way to there were those pesky action and barrel wrench...more fun to come!!!
