Stevens 22 250 blind mag well to mag conversion

Picked up a Stevens 22 250 with the internal blind mag well. What is needed to convert to accept mags? New stock with mag well and mag? What mags work well with 22 250? Thought I would check here first.

Unless there is a new stock option for your Stevens that I don't know about, I would not try and do that. Also, you might find, as I have, that the blind magazine feeds the 22-250 better than another type magazine.

I converted a Stevens 7mm-08 to use magazines, bought a Savage 10 stock from Numrich and already had correct magazine for 243-7mm08 and 308. Worked great for me BUT you will need correct magazine for 22-250 as they are different. I have also put a 22-250 barrel on an Axis so I know that magazine will feed correctly.

Verify your bolt spacing as a 4.4 or the older 4.25.

You have to find the stock that utilizes the magazine frame that you want to use. Plastic or metal base and frame. Your magazine should snap into the base.

Some aftermarket DBM frames are available like PT&G, Atlas works etc... All work with the Aics pattern mags I believe.

Another option is the chassis route. Many possibly most, chassis will use an Aics pattern magazine also.
