Can I remove the barrel from a Savage Rascal and Rascal Target?

I want to shorten and thread one of these (with an nfa stamp obviously), are the barrels easily removable?

Honestly I've never looked at one closely enough to see how the barrels are attached. I would imagine they're made similarly to the Mark I/II/93R's which are a pressed and pinned fitment. You would need to push out the two pins and then come up with a means to press the barrel out through the action from the rear with the bolt removed.

IIRC the newer A-Series and B-Series rifles both utilize barrels that are threaded into the receiver and secured with a smooth nut like the 110 and Axis centerfire rifles.
