Tilted Picatinny Rail for savage axis .223 rem

Hello all. (my name is Arthur)

I am an Aussie Hunter and have a Savage Axis (camo stock) in .223 Rem.

I have recently replaced my Bushnell Elite (3-9x40) with a Sightmark Wrath 4-32x50 infrared scope. I thought i had a problem as the reticle sits in the lower half of field on 4x and 8x but returns to the centre screen at 12x and above.

An email i received from Sightmark this evening explains that this is normal as the scope height is "too high" off the barrel and the "sighting in" is at the extreme. It said i it bothers me (it does) it can be remedied with the use of a "tillted picatinny rail"

has anyone ever heard of such an animal and if so can you tell me where i could source one out.

    Thanking you

Jump on swfa.com They should carry what you need. i get most of my pic rails from them.
They will have 10 thru 40 MOA rails. Generally, a 20 MOA is used for shooting around 1000
yards. The extreme long range guns are using the 40's.

That doesn't sound right. A canted scope base won't fix reticle drift in the scope view.

If you're increasing magnification, the reticle should not "rise" in the field of view, something about this sounds weird. The reticle in the Wraith is digital, so its more likely to be a software issue.

This feels like a BS customer service answer, especially considering the brand.
