In a situation where you would be worried about a dual port, I probably would be more worried about the bolt going through my noggin...
:)
The safest would be no port... i.e. send me your guns.
I rather like the idea of a left port action, but have seen concerns by some, that it is not safe, or at least risky, given the proximity of your face to the opening in the action. A dual port action present the same risk. Or, if something did go wrong, would the whole action go to pieces, in which case it would not matter what side you face was on?

No different than a left handed person using a right hand rifle...which happens quite often.
I am a lefty that has always shot right handed rifles. No issues with it.Originally Posted by dcloco
Th bolt lugs lock ahead of the ejection port, no matter which side it's on so if there is a case failure the ejection port isn't the escape route for the gasses.
