    Contenders and an Anschutz Exemplar

New member here, glad to have found this site.
Two of my Contenders, both Super 16s in 44 mag and 17 Mach 2. The 17 Mach 2 is a TCA marked barrel, one of 67 that were done in 2004 for the collectors association. The Exemplar was a recent addition. I had one in the 90s, this one is staying put.

    Welcome!

Good for you. I also have Contenders/Encores and two Exemplars. Two very different platforms, but both outstanding in their respective ways. I run rifle scopes on the Exemplars and that really puts them in a class of their own for accuracy.

Thanks for the welcome. I do like my TCs. Some of my others, all with custom shop barrels.

I’ve only shot the pistols at 25 yards at the indoor range. Both the 17 Mach 2 and Exemplar shot well.
    5 shots each.

Those are some very nice Contenders.

Yup, Exemplar and Contender accuracy. Nice work.

I was getting ready to shoot one of the Exemplars offhand at 50 yards one day. Had it set up just with a red dot. Just to check zero, I rested it at 25 yards and took 5 fairly quick shots. Given that a conventional revolver or semi-auto is considered match grade if it can do an inch or less at 25 yards, what do you call an Exemplar? :)

North Country Gal, that’s awesome shooting! I needed high magnification to get my results. I may just need to try a red dot and see how it does.

Thanks. Red dots are very easy to use, especially for offhand, which I do a lot.

Welcome to the forum! Both of you have some nice looking pistols. Thanks for sharing.
It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fencepost than to shoot for the fencepost and hit the ground!

Nice setup you have there. What caliber is the Exemplar?
