I bought a .223 Sav Elite a couple of weeks ago.
Need sugestions for factory ammo and /or handloads .
Have tried some factory ammo sofar. 69 grs lapuar scenar sofar best but with 1 inch groups.
shootin at a 100 and 300 meter.

Look up the threads started by CFJunkie. He has the most detailed load work for the .223.
I never tried Lapua or Berger in mine, 69 and 77gn Sierra Match Kings and 75gn Hornady ELD Match.
I do recommend Lapua brass if you can find it.
I have had excellent results with Federal Gold Medal Match that uses the 73 gn Berger. Have been loading the same bullet over 23 gn of Varget which works wonderfully! Both targets are 10 rnds at 100 yds with my Savage 110 in .223.

Yes Sir. Same bullet works exceptionally well in another of my rifles with a 1:9 too. That is if you don't mind 1/4 moa groups. Whatta Hobby!

Right at 2800, the last time I checked in the Fall. Since then, it my have changed with temp slightly, but who's counting. Whatta Hobby!

For a factory load, give ADI ( Australian Defense Industry ) 69 grain SMK a try. My Model 12 LRPV in 7 twist REALLY like them. Shoot them into sub-MOA groups at 500 yards.
