First LH rifle and its a Savage 110

I bought my first LH rifle and its a Savage 110 in .243 Win. I've always shot a RH as finding LH's isnt that common and have always settled for RH firearms. Mainly got for target and possibly hunting. It is used and did not come with a scope but still has the mounts for one. I think it is older, but unsure. Matching receiver and bolt numbers (first 4 in the 1100). Along with a 29U with an oval on the barrel if that helps at all.

Glad you found you a lefty. I think you'll enjoy having the controls oriented correctly. I hope its a good shooter.
The letter prefix on the serial is helpful when dating a Savage.
I had a lefty .243 but kitchen table barrel swapped it over to .308 with a takeoff from the classifieds for a little more oomph.
    Good luck and Welcome Aboard

Welcome. Yes, Savage has been a front runner with Left Hand options for decades.

Your rifle is an older piece, although still a Post-‘66 110. The 29U in the Oval on the barrel, is the year production code. The U indicates it was produced in 1967.
