Not sure about the reinforcement but it sounds like the stock off of a model 14 "American Classic".
They sure are pretty.
Most all of my hunting rigs wear synthetics just for durability and the worry free factor.
Good luck.
I have an Alaskan Guide in 375hh and I found a standard factory walnut stock that would fit it. But I am afraid the stock could crack. Are there cross bolts covered by plugs or are they only cosmetic?

A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.
Oh, I’m confused. You said you found a stock and asked about cross bolts, or if they were cosmetic? What is this Walnut stock you found?
He asked if the stocks(114 classic style) with the black plugs on the side actually had cross bolts or where the black plugs just cosmetic.
I am not sure if they do but wouldn’t be surprised if they were just cosmetic. Probably wouldn’t be had to put cross bolts in it though.
Ah… I don’t recall OP ever being mentioning the 114. But I answered that question regardless. (I put 110 instead of 114, but there’s one of each Classic.)
Is that what you meant Curtis? If so, yes, they are reinforcement bearing bolts. But you would know the 110 classic stock by the adjustable LOP & COMB height.
Yes, thanks
