    308 on a long action

just purchased a 110 in 30-06. thought about getting the ER Shaw barrel kit from midway in 308 heavy barrel. any reason why I shouldnt do this on a long action? anyone dislike the kit or the barrel?

Mag probably won't feed right but other than that no reason not to.

    Good luck,

I have a .308 built on a long action and have no problems with feeding. The only issue I have is ejecting shells. I need to lengthen my ejector pin a little bit and it should take care of the problem.

I have a 22-250 and a 308 both built on 30-06 actions, seems like thats all I can find around here, both feed and eject fine, if you decide to do this. try it out before you start tweeking mag boxes, both of mine worked with no adjusting needed.

"Got Diesel"....Your ejection problem may be the extractor not holding the case tight enough until the ejector can throw it out. A larger detent ball may solve your problem. Is the case falling off the extractor as it exits the chamber?
