Please show me your muzzle brake on your Ultralite

Just purchased an Ultralite with carbon fiber barrel in 6.5cm for my wife would like to put a brake on it and looking for ideas and suggestion.

Looking for one without adding a lot of weight.

    Thank you in advance!

PS: Please excuse for my delayed first post after joining been a lurker you can tell lol.

    Welcome!

While I hate muzzle brakes on cartridges that have no recoil, this would be my only choice. The APA Gen II LB Brake, Nitrided. At 4.2oz., it’s a lightweight.

While I dislike brakes as well, this is the one I have and will probably mount it (or not ) after Cerekote. It's a War Sport.

Thank you Gentlemen for your reply.

For some reason I did not receive an email notification even though I subscribed to this thread, going to check my setting again.

I don't have experience on muzzle brake except the flash hiders on couple semi-auto that I have and that doesn't help with recoil.

Just looking for something functional so my wife can have better shooting experience on the bench when target practicing she is fine with the recoil on shooting 12ga slug but that was mainly from hunting.

6.5CM has very light recoil. Maybe just a tad with yours being the Ultralight. But it’s not as much as a 12ga is. Maybe more like a 20ga.

She can handle 12ga slugs? Like Dave said, the 6.5 doesn't have that much recoil, even with the heavier bullets. I would have her try it first. Muzzle brakes have several drawbacks so going without one might be a better alternative.

For a couple of years I've been using this titanium muzzle brake with a quick detach 4" titanium linear comp on my predator rigs.
I don't wear ear pro while hunting at night and the linear comp really does a great job at directing the muzzle blast.
