    110 22-250 Mag Problem

I just purchased a new 110 in 22-250 with the factory detach mag. The mag should hold 4 rounds as advertised but will not feed the bottom 2 if 4 are loaded. It will cycle the first 2 and the remaining 2 get stuck almost side by side in the mag. It appears the stagger type feed angle is to wide so that the bottom round jams with the upper round and cannot exert enough upward pressure to move the round in to position.

I had an older stock and AM bottom metal & mags and that works fine.

I emailed Savage on this but nothing back yet.... not holding my breath.

Anybody seen this or recommend a fix. I would like to know what's wrong even though I will use the AM DBM hardware... Thanks

The magazine feed lips need adjusted. Bent in slightly with a magazine lip adjustment tool.

I found an old savage sa mag and used the spring and follower parts and it works. I will try to bend the lips again, and maybe get the bad one working...

    thanks
