I received a customer's 1907 he picked up at a pawn shop in today to Clean and Lube and replace the springs as well as replace the broken/missing front site, customer provided. The gun and slide were extreemly dirty, I soaked and then ultrasonicly cleaned and lubed the pistol but the slide still seems to be sticking. I've removed the rear block/ FCG but the slide still won't move past the barrel. I've watched the YouTube video's concerning disassembly but am not haveing any success moving the slide. Since this firearm is new to the customer I don't have any knowledge concerning it's history.

I have removed the broken segment of the front site pin from the slide, the new pin fits into the hole and extends beyond the slide but is loose. What's the best way to secure the new site, try and stake the site or Red Locktite after removing the excess pin component inside the slide?
