barrel swap for a 70's era savage 110 30 06

I have my brothers old 30 06 nothing wrong with it other then everything I have or shoot is 308. i called savage and they said they dont have a replacement barrel for that old of a rifle. If anyone has a suggestion other then keep it as is, please let me know thanks.

Any modern Small Shank Barrel will work. The only differences besides Large & Small Shank barrels were Pre & Post 1966. All 70’s era 110’s used Post ‘66 barrels. The same barrels that are used today. You can purchase a used Small Shank barrel or any one of the aftermarket barrels made.

A Shaw like this below is an aftermarket on the more affordable side. There are also used Take off barrels that can be found from time to time. And more expensive aftermarket $300+.
