Anyone run into difficulties with the brass-like plunger extractor on the Springfiled 840 or Savage 340 .222? I have one that will bend the leaf spring up and spin the extractor every time I chamber a round, rendering it inoperative, leaving the round in the chamber. There appeared to be a little bit of "buggering" where, I suspect, the outside surface of the extractor was rubbing against where the lug comes to rest (kind of a shelf there). I smoothed this and polished it, after breaking the edge slightly, but it did it again on the first chambering. I also chamfered the outside edge of the extractor slightly. It ruins the extractor spring each time it happens. I'd appreciate any help on this. Thanks.
