30-30 bolt action crimp or no crimp?

Loading for a 30-30 bolt action.

Using standard jacketed spire point bullets, neck sized and seated into the lands is there any reason to crimp these rounds?

Not having the usual 30-30 lever action feeding/camming issues I wouldn't think so.

No crimp needed. Years ago when my son was 12 and hunted with a Marlin 30-30, I handloaded spitzer 165s for him, loading one in the chamber, one in the mag. I never crimped them and he had no problems at all.
