    Another Bottom Metal Question!

I got me a nice used blued Model 11 in 22-250, 4.4" spacing top bolt release, blind mag.

I bookmarked this sticky years ago because it is great:

The question is, what does (NBR) & (HFP) under the part #s ??

I want a Blued bottom metal #106704 but I'm afraid to order it because of the (NBR)

Also I am assuming that these are all 4.4" for the short actions.

    Thanks in advance

HFP is Hinged Floor Plate. As for NBR, I'm thinking that's for "New Bolt Release" which would be the bottom bolt release.

Well the HFP makes sense although there is reference nor pictures in the description. Thanks for your reply.

    Thanks Dave,
Looks like I'M out of luck getting a blued one unless someone has a blued short action, TBR with DBM and loans me a serial #

On a happy note I got this off of gunbroker for $419.00 shipped.
The original plan was to use the action but it is in great shape and will make a great walking coyote rig. It sports a Tupperware stock! so the new plan is a Model 14 clone.I want the old school wood look to match the blueing which is like 95%, I got lucky on this one cause the pictures where very poor so I called and they said it was pretty good so I went for it.

Good deal! Gunbroker comes through again. Where I got my last. Though I snatched her for $270! Those days are long gone unfortunately. (Thanks solely to the Ultra Inflation Administration!) Oh well, $419 shipped is a good deal by todays uhhh, standard. Good for you.

You know you can always have it professionally Blued? Or, it’s not hard to do if you like doing things yourself. Either use the real good cold bluing solution or for best results, the Salts can be purchased at Brownells. (Or made with Potassium & Sodium Nitrate + a little Manganese Dioxide. Or…. even Stump remover on the cheap! But not really.)
