    Removing my ejector?

On my 338 I would like to remove my Ejector since I only single feed on it and have no need to mag feed and couldn't if I wanted with my load. My question is, do I need to replace the ejector with a shorter one or make one that is flush with the bolt face or am I fine to just remove it? I figured I would ask before I just pull it out.

You can simply remove it & run it that way. Nothing needs to go in the empty hole, nor does the retaining pin need to reinstalled.

What Dave said!! All of my Savage rigs are without the ejector and spring.
Did have a couple of custom bolt heads made for a 17 VHA by PT&G without the ejector rod hole.
Even shortened the spring on my XP 100 so the brass didn't eject so far.
Oz never gave nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn't already have.
