Christmas Mark II --just fired first time

This is the first 22 Rifle I have fired since I was a kid, back in the late 50's.
Model BV requires a scope, so I got one, and a friend and I mounted the scope. He zeroed the scope.

What a joy to shoot. I had no problems, except the mag. is only a 5 round. Just ordered 2 ten round mags.

I want to go back to the range, tomorrow, but not sure. Wife thinks I spend too much time today. and also tomorrow it just might snow.

Anyway, just wanted people to know how much fun I had with my new rifle.

I got a new Mark II for Christmas too. Lots of fun and cheap to shoot. Buy your wife some flowers and head for the range. Life's short. Don't expect the best potential from your rifle until the weather warms up. It's the ammo that doesn't like the cold so keep it in your pocket until you load it.

few things in life offer as much fun as a 22 and a pocket full of shells.

This is where cargo pants come in to play versus some of those ladies jeans that would print with a dime in their pocket.

I got my new Mark II BV this last weekend and took it out to the range.

    Impressions:

The action (a little stiff but very sooth) and trigger are beyond awesome. Very impressed for a brand new out the box weapon. The wood is very nice for a weapon built in this day in age. It seems to me that manufactures use inferior wood to save money and you don't see that beauty in most modern wood stock rifles/shotguns. Especially Remington, ever since they contracted with Wal-Mart to provide the cheapest rifle/shotguns that they can build. Anyway back on track. Accuracy is crazy good. I ponder if I can ever be as good as the gun is, bullet on top of bullet is the standard. Practice, practice, I guess.

I put a Nikon Monarch 6x42 UUC scope with Weaver rings on it. Very nice, very happy with it, and a Caldwell Bipod.

Here's what I did the first time I shot it. Using CCI Mini Mag 40 gr. at 25 yards it was actually easier to group on the white paper than the shoot n c targets, as the reticule of the scope was hard to see with black on black.

Not that great but the center target was when I got it good and zeroed plus the white on black was easier to see. Your looking at about 15 shots dead center. Like I said, bullet on bullet is the standard for this bad boy. By the way I had zero mag issues with my 5 rounder.

    Tell me what you think.
