    Savage 219 question

Saw a Savage 219 in a combo set with a 25-20 barrel and a 16ga barrel. Have only seen pictures so far but it looks in good shape. Seller is asking $175 for the set. Its a dealer about an hour north of me, I was just wondering if you all thought it was a good deal as I am not too familiar with the 219 model. A couple places i did some checking and it was suggested that the 25-20 caliber barrel was a lil rare?

tell me what you all think.

I have a 30-30 model 219, and the 12 ga 220 model. If it's decent at all I would buy it.

That 25-20 barrel is worth double his asking price for the whole gun, don't think about it, buy it, you can't lose.

You snooze, you loose. Gun was a steal. That is one rare barrel. The combo makes it rarer yet.

awesome, thanks. As I plan on collecting more and more savages, the 99's and 219's are both ones I have yet to get into and plan to in the future.

    Re: Savage 219 question

saw some 240s the other day. double barreled .410 shotguns on the 24 platform. Did not think to take some pictures.

Savage also made some enfields for the WWII lend lease programs. they returned a couple years ago.

    40s and 45s for pre 110 designs

They bought ithica's design for a single shot lever action .22 they made a couple years before it was deemed unsafe as you had to release the hammer to put it on safe.

101 single shot revolver clone and a few semi auto handguns.
