Very nice pistol(s) Jim, thanks for sharing. I sometimes forget that Savage made pistols back in the day too.
I found a nice little orphaned Savage 1917 32acp the other day that I gave a new home to.
The 240XXX serial number indicates it was made in 1920 and it has a pretty nice nickel finish on it, though a close inspection showed it started its life as a blued gun, but my 1907 Savage (1910 vintage) was wanting a playmate so I couldn't resist.
The gun is pretty tight with a shiny bore and good rifling, so it still seems to have plenty of life in it.

It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fencepost than to shoot for the fencepost and hit the ground!
Somehow, I missed this thread when crowtalks started it. Nice pistol, and nickle to boot. Good catch, crowtalks.
