History. I bought this used in great condition about 3 or more years ago and took it to the range today for the first time. I put five rounds in the mag and put it in but bolts appeared to contact the mag.
I tried it a few times and it appears to push a round forward but stops. I have to push the round rearward to get it to go back into the magazine, tried this a few time with the same result. So I just put in one round and it fed the round into the chamber just fine. I tried it again and had the same result so then tried it with two rounds and both fed ok.
Knowing Savages lack of QC over the last decade what's the current fix? TIA

I thought I'd circle back around on this. After a bunch of google searches I found a few post where people remedied it by taking the magazine apart and flipping the spring 180*. I'm happy to report this worked very well.
got one that messes up on me but never have touched as i got 3 more
