Many people have modified many different Stocks/Chassis to work with the 4.275” screw spacing. It’s nothing new, but good for pointing it out on the Magpul.

Why would anyone they make a new synthetic stock for short-actions that have been out of production for 35 years (Gen 1) and 15 years (Gen2) respectively? It's easier to do with custom or semi-custom wood stocks as there's no tooling involved, but with synthetic stocks you have molds and mandrels which are unique. The smart business man doesn't make new stuff for old things because it's a stagnant or shrinking market. Instead they make new stuff for the newest things because that market is still growing which means their market will grow with it.
