Anybody knows weight of laminated stock of Savge 12 VLP?

Anybody knows the weight of the stock of the 12 VLP (Varminter Low Profile)? This is the rifle: https://savagearms.com/content?p=fir...ummary&s=18464 . I am thinking about getting a GRS Warg stock (synthetic, around 3lbs) for my .308 12 VLP, but I don't want it if it is much heavier than the laminated stock that originally came with the rifle. Thanks!

It will be at or slightly above the weight of other laminated stocks. I highly doubt you’ll notice a difference.

Thank you Dave. I also emailed Savage. If they reply I will post their answer here, so that it serves as info for future reference for somebody.

My BVSS stock seems heavy. Never weighed it but I would not be surprised if it were 3lb or more. That's one of the reasons I like it :) The Boyd's Pro Varmint stock on my other rifle feels very light compared.

Thank you Charlie. I just looked at the Boyds Pro Varmint stock and its weight is listed at 2.85 lbs (which is light). I assume the stock on the BVSS must be way heavier than that then (unless the barrel and the action in your other rifle are much ligher than the BVSS, which has a heavy contour barrel).

Just got off the phone with Savage customer service and they told me that the weight of the wood laminate stock on the 12 VLP is between 4 and 4.5 lbs. That means that the GRS Warg stock would be between 1 lb to 1.5 lbs lighter. : )

EDIT: Customer service was wrong. Savage technical service got back to me through email and wrote:
"The stock would weight in at 2.80 pounds. "

Sounds about right to me. And, yes, I was referring to just the stock weight between the Boyd's and the Savage BVSS. The 12 action and barrel are much heavier than the Axis.

I am kinda surprised the Boyd's weighs that much.

Got an email reply from Savage technical services.

    The reply:
"The stock would weight in at 2.80 pounds. "

    So lighter than I thought!
