    Stainless xp-100?

We're the Remington XP's produced with a stainless steel action.

Looked at a XP-100 today in a local gun shop. The action looked to match what I thought was a heavy stainless steel barrel with a bead blasted finish. The action was greyish in color like the barrel and had also been bead blasted. The shop owner thought the action was a standard blued action that was stripped and bead blasted but I thought the action would have been shiny er in appearance.
I couldn't recall ever seeing a stainless XP for sale.

It's either plated or paint. Is the barrel stamped SSK by any chance?

Barrel has no markings on it at all. It's 14 inches and about 1 inch diameter. Has a nice blond rear grip stock. Shop owner thinks it chambered in 204 Ruger. He got 7 XPs in an estate sale. This one is the only custom one all the others have the brown plastic stocks.

Seven !! No wonder I can't find any.

I was just curious. JD (SSK) chromed a lot of actions including the Contender.

Any idea what $$$ they were going for? Asking for a friend.

He had just unboxed them when I walked in so they didn't have tags on them yet. I'm going back up there on Tuesday or Wednesday to try and work out a deal on the 204 Ruger.

I will let you know about prices. One was a 10 inch vent ribbed 221 FB. Two 14 inch 223's. One 14 inch 7mm BR and I will check the other calibers.
