Any advise for mounting a red dot on .223 striker pistol? Has Weaver two piece bases. Will it work out to 100 yrds?

Old thread that I just came across, but I'll toss out a reply.
First, I would swap the 2 piece bases for an EGW 1 piece base. Then you can easily mount your red-dot. Yes, it will work at 100 yds. Don't expect bench-rest accuracy, but for 'minute of hog', it should be fine. The operator is the factor, the gun and cartridge are very capable. I have a rifle scope on a .223 Striker and it is one of my favorites.
Wander over to the Specialty Pistols Forum for more Strikers.
    Stay safe and good luck.
