    New style firing pin

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Gun Shack is now carrying the new style (2018+) firing pin from Savage. It will be posted on our website shortly.

Our rep at Savage has said that this firing pin is compatible with both Axis and the 10/110 series.

Hey Lance, you might want to confer with your Savage rep a little more. Firing pin length for the Axis is different than the short or long action 110's. Savage uses this 1-piece style firing pin on their cheaper 110 models (Apex, package rifles, etc) and the 212/220 models. The higher end 110 models still use the older adjustable style firing pins.

My apologies, you are correct. This is Noemi not Lance. The firing pin is different between Axis and 110 models. We are working on having both new types of firing pins available soon on the website. Thank you!

Thanks for that Jim. It may have been common knowledge but my head was still spinning on what models still had the old style.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
